Self-pity is never a good luck.
Self-pity never solved a single problem nor overcame an obstacle on earth or within the human condition.
The vast majority of what befalls us is really of our own doing anyhow. It means you have not yet learned the lesson meant to be learned from this or about yourself.
I haven't had a drink since ***day night. Sunday night I managed to drink from afternoon til' close to 2am. It's not a good look for me. I've been hiding out in the gym, training hard, and spending time with my girlfriend.
Left to my own devices, it's frightening how quickly I can run off the rails. Real talk.
My wanderlust comes out of nowhere, it comes on strong, and once it has me in its grips, all bets are off.
"Buy the ticket, take the ride," as it were.
