Systems are built to maintain their existence

Back in court, in this seemingly endless ramble of delays until I can resolve my issue(s) here.
At any rate, I accept it as it is and play the part, putting on my suit, reminded once again that there are two types of people in court: those that know how to dress and those that don't.
I'm also reminded that by and large court and the "justice" system is a way to punish the poor and penalize the reckless/stupid.
I, of course, fit into the latter category.

It's been painful lessons learned in this life less ordinary, but if you follow the theory of positive disintegration, these have all been opportunities for growth as pain is the touchstone of personal growth.

I see the world through the lens not often afforded the white and relatively middle class due to my chosen career and my run-ins with the legal system.
The recent riots and the lamentations of the white people over property damage feel so laughable as to watch how concerned they are when the natives are restless but unconcerned when a black man arrested without cause ends up with his spinal cord damaged to the extent that he dies in custody. Like it or not, when the state takes you into custody, it is now responsible for your welfare, not your execution or punishment as is the case with the "rough rides" discussed in the media.

It's inane hearing the white privileged talk about "well if you don't break the law..." or "trust the police and you'll be fine."

Rant over.
