Someone who knows your significant other sees you or recognizes you in a photo.
Given the broad network of facebook and other social media, the chance occurrence is no longer chance, but practically a likelihood.

All it takes is the background of a photo, a friend of a friend mentions your name and some other piece of biographical information.
